Going Down Under (non-beauty related)

I'm in a very nostalgic mood, and reminiscing on good events that occurred last year so here goes,

In February 2013, My family took a trip down under to Australia, myself being 1/4 Australian,  I still have family living there, so we visited them also. We began our trip in Perth, of which we stayed for four days. Out of the 5 places we visited, Perth was one of my favourites. It's a very upcoming city, with a lot of potential. We took a train down to a harbour within Perth called Freemantle, where we stumbled across many cute harbour cafes and shops.

Freemantle Harbour
Kaili's in Freemantle is literally the best place for seafood!

Number plates in Oz intrigued me

Taking pictures of everything and anything
After leaving Perth, we then continued our tour of Australia onto Cairnes, where I unfortunately got very sunburnt! (Factor 50!) However I still had the amazing opportunity to snorkel off the Great Barrier Reef, an experience I won't be forgetting for a long time, diving underwater to see colourful corals and tropical fish was a once in a lifetime moment. I really enjoyed Cairnes' as i felt as if I was seeing a little bit more of Australia's culture after visiting Aboriginal centres and learning about their different lifestyles. We only spent a few days in Cairnes before we ventured onto my favourite place, Sydney!

Sydney Opera House
I literally fell in love with Sydney at the first glance. I'm very much a city girl, although I've been brought up in the countryside, I thrive in busy atmospheres, Sydney had great weather too! (although it doesn't look present in this image) I even managed to find a massive Topshop in Sydney, as some retail therapy was needed. We spent around four days in Sydney, one of these days we took a train down to Bondi Beach, famous for surfers. It's a very quaint area, and a keen touristy spot for backpackers. I loved just being able to have a day chilling by the beach and relaxing after all the hectic activities.

Bondi Beach Pool

Sydney was such a lovely place to be, especially on Valentines Day, we were lucky enough to stay on the 70th floor of an amazing hotel looking over onto the Darling Harbour, and on Valentines night, a wonderful firework display was to be seen from our hotel windows, it was spectacular and such a lovely thing to see being such a long way from home.

However after leaving Sydney, we headed to our final stop, Melbourne, I weren't able to take many photo's in Melbourne, as i simply forgot, but Melbourne is such a lovely place to be, we stayed in the middle of China Town and being around the culture was amazing. I'm a big lover of Chinese food, so trying out the restaurants was a must! We also visited a small zoo on an excursion, my parents had arranged.

Look at this adorable little thing!

Nostalgic mood has been released.

Be back soon!

Introducing Myself

Hey there, I'm a 16 year old girl from England. I decided to use my first post as a little bit of an introduction and give you an insight into why i created this blog and my intentions etc. I was first introduced to the beauty community about 3 years ago when I stumbled across YouTube Beauty guru, Juicystar07 (Blair Fowler) I thoroughly enjoyed her videos and went on to discover all different types of videos from styling to makeup tutorials. I've always aspired to make my mark on the internet concerning Beauty and Styling, however i've never had the guts to do so, until now. I've decided to use this blog as a simple way to review different products, introduce you to my life and follow structures of similar beauty blogs.
